At Memoir Lane Publishing, we pride ourselves on the quality and professionalism of the work we do. Unlike some companies which offer this type of service, we take a deep dive into your life and treasured memories, ensuring that your story is told RIGHT!

OUR STANDARD MEMOIR PACKAGE IS NOW JUST $5499 and includes the same great interviews, writing, and editing as our Premium Package, but DOESN'T include the costs for professional layout and cover design, copies of your book, or the Audiobook Memoir.
OUR AUDIOBOOK MEMOIR IS NOW JUST $1499 and includes up to 15 hours of in-depth telephone interviews, organized and edited into audio "Chapters." Presented as a digital download.

No problem! With our HOURLY plan, you can GET STARTED NOW for as little as $45 (one hour) per week. This $45 hourly rate will apply to all interviews, writing, editing, and Audiobook Memoir production, but won't include the professional layout/cover design or complimentary copies of your Memoir (all of which are available at our cost).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How long will my memoir be?
A: Your memoir will typically be 20-30k words, or approximately 110-150 pages in a 6x9 book (including up to 50 photos). Audiobook Memoir lengths will vary but will usually be 2-4 hours in length.
2. How long will writing my memoir take?
A: Our process - including extensive interviews, writing, editing, cover and layout design, printing, and audiobook editing/production - usually takes 9-12 months. If you select our "Pay As You Go" plan, it could take longer, depending on your budget.
3. Will my photos be in color?
A: You can absolutely choose to have color photos in your memoir. Just be aware that - should you choose to order more than the 20 copies included in your memoir package - the printing costs will be considerably higher.
4. Do I maintain all rights for my memoir?
A: Absolutely! Memoir Lane Publishing is simply a "work for hire" business. You maintain all rights and receive 100% of any subsequent royalties for your memoir.
5. Does Memoir Lane Publishing do any marketing or promotion for my memoir?
A: We do not. Many of our clients simply want to share their story with friends and current and future generations of loved ones. However, your book will meet the standards that many book publishers require, should you decide to pursue publishing options on your own. If you choose to have your book published on the Amazon KDP platform, allowing you to share your memoir with the world and receive royalties, we'll walk you through the simple process.
6. Can I include more than 50 photos?
A: Yes, you can include more than 50 photos, but please note that additional photos may (depending on just how many more) increase the cost of your book. We will work with you to ensure the best presentation of your photos.
7. What if I need more than 25 copies of my memoir?
A: We'll be happy to provide you with as many additional copies as you'd like. You can either order them directly from the printer. Should you choose to publish on Amazon KDP, you'll also be able to order "Author Copies" at reduced rates through that platform. As noted on OUR PROCESS page, books printed by Amazon will be less expensive, but of somewhat lower quality.
8. Can I make changes to my memoir after it's been printed?
A: While we encourage thorough review and edits before final approval, we understand that updates may be necessary. We offer options to create subsequent editions of your memoir for an additional fee.
9. How do I get started?
A: Getting started is easy! Simply contact us at [email protected] to schedule your initial consultation. We’ll walk you through the process and answer any other questions you may have.
10. What is included in the audiobook version?
A: The audiobook version is comprised of edited recordings of your telephone interviews, organized by memoir chapter. We can also provide - by request - the complete audio interviews, organized in chronological order by date of interview.
11. Can I gift a memoir service to someone else?
A: Yes, our memoir service makes a wonderful and thoughtful gift. Please reach out to us for more details on how to gift a memoir package to a loved one.
12. What if I don’t have many photographs?
A: No problem! We can work with whatever you have. Your story and words are the most important elements, and we’ll ensure they are beautifully presented.
13. Is my information and story kept confidential?
A: Yes, we take your privacy very seriously. All information shared with us is kept confidential and is only used for the purpose of creating your memoir. Whether you want your memoir available to the whole world or just to select family and friends in 100% up to you!
